Established in 1982, the pantry began in a closet and now is being housed in its own building. Our staff and a team of more than 50 volunteers maintain the pantry and distribute food based on family size, age and cooking facilities. All foods and personal hygiene goods are obtained through donations from businesses, local parishes, organizations and individuals. The National Association of Letter Carriers, in conjunction with the United States Postal Service, contribute each May with the "Help Stamp Out Hunger" campaign. Every year we are the recipients of food from the annual Crop Walk and Girl and Boy Scout troops, church groups and schools contribute with their own food drives. |
